As we begin to become aware of our focus, it’s important to make sure we move it towards the positive, the inspirational. I admit, when life throws me a curve ball, it can be difficult. There are days it’s hard to see the good. It’s in those times finding inspiration is indeed an art in and of itself. It’s also a choice.

As you begin to look back, it’s important to remember how far you’ve come as opposed to how far you have to go. When you feel like you have a mountain standing in front of you, it can be daunting and quite overwhelming.
In order for you to continue to believe that mountain is climbable, it is essential to encourage yourself along the way. Looking at what you have accomplished, no matter how small the accomplishments are, will give you that boost to keep you going. If you are an artist, it may even be necessary to get out photos of your old work and compare to your most recent work. I bet you’ll be amazed at your development.
Be your own cheerleader. Make a list of every accomplishment and review it from time to time. When it comes to friends or even family, if there is someone who is not willing to cheer you on keep them at bay. Negativity produces negativity. If you do these things the mountain won’t seem so large.
